Using Note

Note

Note Basics (Black: Answer / Blue: Given)

	No value is assigned to this cell yet.
	1 is assigned to the value of this cell.
	1 is assigned to the value of this cell but 1 is off in note.

Number Selector of Note Mode

ON
Automatically set by commands of Note menu or manually turn on by tapping the number.

OFF
Automatically set by commands of Note menu.

OFF By User (Italic)
Indicating it is intentionally turned off by user's thinking, So this is not changed on Auto mode (except every beginning the mode). To reset it, manually turn on it, tap 'C' button to clear the cell or do Calculate All Notes of Note menu to reset all cell's notes.

Red Notes (Red: Answer / Magenta: Given)

Red notes mean the cell must take the number or the consistency is lost. This is Edit mode only.

	This cell can take 9 only to the value because another number is already assigned to other cells of same group.
	This cell can take 7,8,9 but if it takes except 8, 8 is never assigned to any cells of same group.

Green Note

Edit Mode

Green note of Edit mode means the number is unique to the group except Given cells. If you decide not to use the number for Given of same group. You can fix the green number for the cell's value without thinking the consistency. It is very useful when creating problem with Blank Given. Whether to use green number for the value of the cell or not is optional. You can use the number for another Given cell, too.

Play Mode
Green note of Play mode means a hint.

Note Menu

Reset All Notes
You can turn all cells note to on or off. But if you turn all cells note to on, the response of this program may become slower.

View By...

Note	All cells including Given cell are shown by Note.
Number	Cells having a value only are shown by Number. Cells not having a value are not shown.
Note Or Number	Cells having a value are shown by Number. Cells not having a value are shown by Note.

<TIPS> If many '?' mark are shown by these commands, do Calculate All Notes (see below).

Calculate All Notes
In sudoku, each cell belongs to three groups(horizontal, vertical and box). Calculating Note is finding unused value in groups of the cell. This reset all cell's all notes including manually changed by user.

Auto ↔ Manual
Auto mode updates notes automatically each time when changed Number of any cell. This may turn off the note that is turned on by user by result of calculation. But this never turn on the note that is turned off by user for not to interrupt user's elimination except every beginning. Manual mode do nothing.
